Audi Repair: Engine Check warning light, 2002 Audi A6 Quattro, audi vag, audi a6

My engine check warning light came on solid but my diagnostic lights say everything is OK.  Do you have any idea why this light came on and stays on?

I do not know what diagnostic lights you talking about , but ones check engine comes ON there is  one or more faults store in engine control module. This fault can only be read by scan tool or Audi VAG. There are more than 50 faults, so I will need to know what fault # do you have to help you.
