Audi Repair: Engine Oil, exhaust manifold, valve cover

Question
I have a '99 2.8L Passat and when my car has been running for a while it starts to burn oil fast and you can smell it pretty good, and at times smoke comes up from the right side of the hood at the windshield.  I use cleaners and stuff, but it still doesn't help.  I'm wondering what can cause this to happen?  Thank You.

Answer
Hello
Check your valve cover gaskets and cam tensioner gasket
R/side head has it in the back, L/side on the front
tensioners are more like it to leak, on right side oil is going right on exhaust manifold, that's why you see smoke
