Any idea what would cause my sunroof to work in only the vent position?  It will not retract into the roof and open fully.  When turning the switch to the open position, you hear a soft click but then nothing. It doesn't seem like the motor engages.  It doesn't sound as if it is off track.  Seemingly the motor is operable (at least so much as the vent positon).  
Is this a case of a bad switch?  ($$150!)

hello
before replacing the swich, try to use the emergency tool to open and close your sun roof. If it works ease you will know it's not a tracks. If it does not open - you will need new track or try find somebody who can fix or rebuild them
