Auto Electronics: wiring up led 3rd brake in spoiler, nissan sentra, rear spoiler

Question
Hello, I have a 2009 Nissan Sentra 2.0 and have purchased an Sentra SE-R aftermarket rear spoiler which has an LED 3rd brake light, I checked the wires(about 2 foot long)on the spoiler I got and there is a red and a black wire(I take red is positive and black is negative) I also removed my 3rd brake light on the rear deck(dash)just to look at that wiring and again its 2 wires, red and black. I am aware I would have to cut my OEM wires just before my OEM 3rd brake light, I would much rather NOT splice into my original wiring( just in case for some reason I would have to take off spoiler )  Is there some way I can do a quick connect/disconnect for both red and black wires? (maybe male/female connectors) I hope I'm not too confusing, any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Answer
Hello Mike,

It is perfectly fine to use male and female quick disconnects for your project at hand.  simply run new wire from the new light to the oem wiring.

Once you have run it connect the wires to the oem wires by use of wire taps.  then connect your light.

Good Luck

Thank you.
