Cadillac Repair: Front seat recliner motor, auto theft SIU investigation EUO claim denial expert, last driven with a key of the proper type

Question
I have a 2001 cadillac deville with power seats. I need to replace the recliner motor on the passenger side. I have found the motor, but not sure how to replace it. I need step by step instructions on replacing the passenger side recliner motor.
Thanks.

Answer
Hello,

There is more than one motor. You need to eliminate the front and rear
motors first by placing a test light to power and operating the switch.
Once identified and you know there is power to the recliner motor, the
seat should be removed.
Obtaining the proper star head tool for removing the bolts. Run the
seat all the way forward and remove bolts. Run seat all the way to the
rear. Remove the front bolts. Remove any harness attachments for seat
belt on backrest. Remove wiring. Remove seat and replace motor.
Reinstall seat.
