QuestionI have a 92 Cadillac Deville first thing started was the fuel gauge was never correct it appeared to reset all the time then it finally went out, then my climate control went out. I checked all fuses i even took one unit out at a time to see if i was a bad unit or not. Other website stated it could be the bcm gone bad i purchased a bcm from Oreilly's which stated that it was preprogrammed at the manufactor. after replacing the bcm it still has the same problems. when you take the climate control the blower continues to runs. Can you please help me. locale dealership states it probable cost somewhere around 1000 dollars or more to chase wires and find and repair problem without looking at.

Although it seems like a good idea at a time, one has to look at answers to symptoms related to vehicles on the internet with skepticism as you are now learning the hard way unfortunately. Going to the dealer is going to be a ripoff as well.
As I have so often, I give a very simple answer that will prevent you from wasting tons of cash for needless component replacements and inaccurate diagnoses.
Go to Ebay or Craigs and find and purchase a 1999 Cadillac DeVille Factory Service Manual. You will find that the information is easy to understand with diagnostic flow charts to assist you in finding your current problem as well as future issues. Much of this information does not require being a technician and you should be able to find one for about $50 plus shipping. What did you just pay for the BCM that did not fix your problem?
