Cadillac Repair: suspension, key of the proper type, last key used

Question
I just found out my 2000 DTS 4.6 does not have the air pump a and b fuses installed. Will this cause my car to ride low, or were they taken out so a warning light wont show?

Answer
Hello,

I have no way of knowing what exactly you are referring to. It could be this is referring to an optional emission air pump and not the air compressor. It is common if one is looking at the fuse box and comparing to the owners manual to find blank fuse locations because a particular vehicle did not have that specific requirement.

Is the car level? Does the compressor under the hood run at times? I believe that the fuses you are looking at have nothing to do with the rear suspension compressor. Trust me, you would know there was a problem instantly if the back end was sagging almost on the ground.

In fact, if you look at the owners manual, you will find multiple fuse panels. You should find a fuse or a circuit breaker for the compressor. To my knowledge, the compressor is not referred to as an air pump.

Good luck.
