Cadillac Repair: 1967 Calais Light Switch, New orleans auto theft SIU investigation/denial expert

Question
The light switch on my 67 Calais coupe has been removed and I need to reinstall under dash. I can press the assembly into location, but how is it secured? I cannot get my big head or hands in sufficiently to tell if it's a couple of screws or what?  Do you happen to know, or have any suggestions?

Answer
Hi,

Man, you are really pushing my memory. The older GMs (dod't know if this is applicble) were attached with a spanner nut that we used to use a needle nose to fit in the two slots to tighten.
To determine if this is the type of switch is easy. Thee will be a push button on the back side of the switch and you will see either threads on the outside of the center of the switch, or in the very center it will be threaded for a spanner screw. That is how they attached in the 70s.

If you could send a picture of the switch, that might help too.
