Cadillac Repair: 1993 cadillac deville wont start, Herndon & associates inc., detroit auto theft expert

Question
I was driving my 93 deville the other day it was running good. I stopped at a gas station and ran in 2 mins later i came out and it wouldn't start? When i turn the key all the lights turn on and everything works but when i turn the key it don't turn over it don't make any noise at all? i thought it was cause my alarm battery was dead so i changed it but nothing. I got under the car and hit the starter with a screw driver and the car turned over but wouldn't start. Does anyone know what the cause could be?

Answer
Hi,

If the engine would not turn over and then once you hit the starter with a screw driver and it cranked, we know for a fact you need a starter.

I can also tell you that your problem is not a factory anti-theft vats problem and should  not be a problem in your after market alarm.

You could have a fuel delivery problem or a spark issue.

Your complaint is too vague to give you any direct answer.

Could be fuel pump, plugged fuel filter. Could be as little as a fuse or a bad computer.

All I can do with the limited information is give suggestions.

You may need to have the car taken to a service center (never a dealer) and have diagnostic equipment hooked to it to find out exactly what the issue is.
