may i continue to drive my truck with a knock sensor code. I live 200 miles from my dealer.

Hi Jerry,

I would be concerned about the code for a couple of reasons. Your engine is not running to maximum efficientcy and the concern you could be doing damage to you aluminum engine.

You don't have to go to a dealer to get it repaired. If you have a decent service garage closer, I am sure they can fix it.

I understand you dilema. I lived 100 miles away from the closest dealer and I only had to drive 45 miles for a decent repair shop.

Try to get this handled as quickly as you can so you don't end up forced to the dealer for major repairs. For now, you should be running premium anyway, but if there is a parts store around you, pick up and install octain additive into the tank.
