Cadillac Repair: service power steering system, cadillac seville sls, cadillac seville

I have a 97 Cadillac Seville sls and service power steering system is displayed on the dash and i don't know how to get it off i have went through the codes and cleared them all, and under tcs codes c1241 doesn't clear. i have drained and filled the power steering system. i don't know what else to do

There are those repairs designed in which the consumer cannot do and this sounds like one of them in order to get the light out.

This is a hard code that either needs to be reset by a Tech II scanner at the dealer or a service center, or for some stupid reason may have a hidden reset switch like the emission flags did with the odometers at certain mileage.

At any rate, there are certain codes that are meant to go back to the dealer so they can make the money. I believe this is where you are at.
