The headlights remain on when car if off. They do not shut off at all no matter what. This drains the battery.

It is difficult for diagnoses without being at car, but I will offer some suggestions.

Does the car have twitight setinal? This is where the headlights are delayed in turning off. Not all Cadlillacs had that option.

My first thought would be a shorted out headlight switch in the dash. Relatively easy to change and not to expensive.

Anything other than that, I am afraid you will need it loiked at.
