Cadillac Repair: car wont start, coolant temp, car wont start

hey there. my name is dwayne, and im contacting you for help on my 98 caddy deville. well three days ago. i got a alarm installed. and friday i was driving on da high way and it just turned off. and smoke started coming from my steering wheel. engines coolant temp. was only 200 no smoke was coming from engine. now car wont start at all.!! please help

I would say you need to be talking to the alarm store and finding out what they did to cause this problem..

Alarm installers are not auto technicians and have very limited knowledge on electrical matters. In the end, you will probably have to get the alarm ripped out and sent to a dealer or a service repair shop to repair the damage. Under no condition should smoke be coming out of the steering column!
