Cadillac Repair: 96 eldorado, wiper arm, splines

wipers quit working but still can hear motor spinning. could one of the legs fallen off of motor? or relay bad?

Hello,

If the motor is running, but the wipers are not working, you have one of two problems. Either both wiper arm splines are stripped or the most likely, the wiper transmission arms are broken. The cowl (grille portion under wipers) must be removed to be inspected.
