Cadillac Repair: blower/ccm/fuel data center, electronic climate control, electrical schematics

i was wondering where it is i should start. my blower stays on and the fuel data center has a c, and the electronic climate control does too. i have checked the fuses and all are good. it seems every once in a while the fdc and ecc come on and i can see how much gas i have and can control the climates, but after running for a few it goes back to the c's and my car runs like shit. any advice would be greatly appreciated. was wondering if it could be a short, a bad ground, something to do with having an after market stereo and unhooking the bose system..ugh i dont know where else to look. car-x couldnt find the problem either. the sercurity light stays on also. thanks in advance

NEVER-EVER install an after market radio system into a Cadillac unless you have electrical schematics and you know EXACTLY what you are doing.

The normal cause for seeing a -c in the display is that the BODY CONTROL MODULE (BCM) has failed.

You need to perform several simple test procedures BEFORE you install a new BCM or you run the probability of FRYING the new BCM.
