Cadillac Repair: 1991 Cadillac Blower fan keeps running, scematics, blower fan

Hi,

Would you be so kind to forward your answer and scematics of the 1991 Brougham RWD with the blower fan running even with ignition off?
Seems I have the same trouble. Antenna motor also keepd running, I disconnected the antenna.
The fan I really need defrosting the car.

Hi,

I do not have schematics for your car, but you can purchase these and much more by becoming a member at www.alldata.com. I generate no income from them but refer the site because it is an excellent source. You join and address the exact vehicle you are looking for and everything is in front of you for a year.

Your antenna drive cable is broken. I think you can still buy the mast and cable kit from the dealer. Cheaper than buyin the motor assembly.

Cadillac has had the blower problem since 1980. They never fixed a k own problem, they just collected $500+ to replace the resistor module. I have seen this corrected cheaply that will give you high blower. Use a toggle with a 20a fuse. Hook to ignition power with the other end going to the blower
motor. This way the battery won't go dead on you.

I know if I had this problem, this is how I would handle it because I don't like lining a dealer's pocket.
