Cadillac Repair: theft deterrent system, theft deterrent system, transponder system

Question
I have a 2003 CTS that will not start.  The key is locked in the ignition and the theft deterrent light is illuminated.  I disconected the battery with no chnage in my situation.
Please help!

It seems like everyone thinks the computer or anything in the vehicle's computer system can be reset just by disconnecting the battery and reattaching the cable.
It is not that simple anymore. The manufacturer deliberately made the transponder system servicable only from the dealer.  This means there is nothing you can do but have the car towed to the dealer. The dealer will connect a scanner known as the tech 2 to the car for diagnoses of the problem.

Unfortunately, there is no other option to you.
