I have a 1993 Cadillac Fleetwood rwd. I'm having a problem with the dome lights staying on they never go off, even with the key in the ignition or the car running. The door ajar light is not on when all doors are closed but the dome lamps stay on.

There can be many different issues here, however the most common is a bad door jamb pin switch.

Open the driver's door. Physically depress the switch and see if the light goes out. If not, do the same on the rest of the doors.

If the light does not go out, physically unscrew each switch at a time. Remove and disconnect a wire from the switch. If the light does not go out, you could have a bad headlight switch.

Depending on your location commonly determines if there is a weather related problem to the switch. In Wisconsin, we get road salt in those switches, either destroying the contacts or the button won't push in freely.
