Question
good afternoon,  im looking at possibly buying a 1995 deville, problem is the owner says there is a crack in the back top part of the engine, can this be repaired, such as soldering, or does the engine have to be replaced
thank you so much for your time and patience

Answer
This particular year falls in the year ranges of having faulty engine head bolts that tear the threas out of the engine block and a very expensive engine rebuild or engine replacement may be needed or will be needed around the 100,000 to 150,000 mileage on the engine as this is a very very well known issue with this engine.

As to your question, NO, It can not be properly professionally repaired.
