Cadillac Repair: 1997 Cadillac Deville a/c compressor, 134a freon, jumper wire

Question
Hi, I have a 1997 Cadillac deville with a sudden compressor issue. Been working fine until after sitting 2 weeks in garage. Dash panel says "very low refrigerant" and "compressor off". So I went ahead and connected gauge to add freon but pressure gauge read 90psi on low side. I then put a jumper wire on the pressure sensor, then removed the a/c compressor relay and inserted a jumper wire into the socket to see if the compressor would run. Compressor started running and the low pressure side gauge then read 20-25psi so I added the 134A freon and brought pressure up to 40-45. Upon reaching that pressure, a sudden small burst of freon exited the high side compressor relief. I still have close to 40 psi on low side with compressor jumped. It seems there is a plug somewhere, correct? Any ideas on what's happening and a possible solution? Same 2 messages are still showing on the dash panel and the compressor still won't operate on it's own. Thank you for any help and guidance.

Answer
You need to put a set of AC gages on the LOW and HIGH side pressure ports to see what pressures the system is running at.

Most likely you will need to remove all the freon from the system, Evacuate all the air from the system using a vacuum pump, Replace the orifice tube and recharge the system with the correct amount of freon.
