Cadillac Repair: follow up to previous questions, vehicle speed sensor, sensor circuit

QUESTION: I'm seeing E24 then EE alone as the next reading. then I'm seeing
E98 and after that I'm seeing EE as the next alone reading. The EE is not read
at the same time when I'm reading E24 or E98

ANSWER: 1. Replace the transmission SPEED SENSOR.

2. Clear (erase) ALL the codes from the computers via the climate control
panel ONLY and then recheck to see which codes return and let me know.

I get E24 then E98 then E.E.
rather then E24 then E.E. then E98 then E.E.
If that makes a difference. Please let me know. thanks

Now I need to know how to clear computer by using the dashboard control.
Also is the transmission speed sensor the same as the vehicle speed sensor?

ANSWER: Let's FIRST CLEAR (erase) ALL the codes from the computers and then see which ones return.

1. Recheck the codes and when the display stops at .7.0  

2. Simultaneously push and hold the OFF and HI buttons until you see
  E.0.0 and release the buttons.

3. Turn OFF the ignition for 30 seconds and then recheck for any codes.

The display is showing EXACTLY this ?

E24 E98  EE E24 E98  .7.0

Is the above correct. If NOT, Write it down EXACTLY as it appears as if you were video taping it.

Also is the transmission speed sensor the same as the vehicle speed sensor?   YES.


E24 is VEHICLE SPEED SENSOR CIRCUIT PROBLEM.

E98 = High engine speed when shifting from park to neutral to drive to reverse under idle speed control.
