Cadillac Repair: 1991 fleetwood belt, alignment problem, pumo

Hey my belt keeps on snapping on my 1991 fleetwood i changed the water
pumo and still continues to snap belts what do i do??

Hello,

Sounds like a pulley alignment problem or a tensioner problem.
I cannot tell you exactly what is wrong on this forum because this requires physically looking at the engine.

I would take the vehicle to a service center, so the pulley alignment can be checked. Did the car gave this problem before changing the water pump? Possibly the water pump sticks out to far or not far enough.

Belt tensioner could be defective. All needs to be checked out.
