Cadillac Repair: Power locks wont unlock automatically, power locks, button switch

Question
I have a 92 brougham and recreantly i damaged the power lock on the passenger side door. It locks when i put the car i drive as it should but when i but the car in park again it is the only door to not unlock. I can unlock it with the key but even if i press the unlock switch it still locks. Also, I tried to remove the door panel but got stuck because i did not want to damage any of the electricals in the door. any suggestions?

I am not sure what you mean by saying you damaged the power lock.

It sounds like you may need a new power lock button switch. There are 2 circuits involved here. One for locking the door, the other for unlocking the door that appears to be defective.

You will need to get the damaged switch replaced and see if it fixes the paroblem.
