Cadillac Repair: dash readings, cadillac dealer, cadillac deville

On my dash board of a 2002 Cadillac deville, it reads "service steering system" what causes this to go on?? and can i fix this myself or does it have to go to a Cadillac dealer?

Hi Mike,

I would suggest taking the vehicle to a repair garage. It does not have to go to the dealer for ridiculous repair costs.

I can't tell you how difficult the problem is to repair without knowing what is wrong. It could be a bad sensor. It could be a hydraulic problem, it could be a bad rack and pinion.

The best thing to do is have the car looked at by a qualified technician. Consider a Good Year, Firestone etc.
