Cadillac Repair: 2000 Cadillac Escalade starting problems, cadillac escalade, fuel pressure

Question
QUESTION: My Cadillac wont start.  It was having troubles starting, but ran fine once started, until the starter burned up.  I took it to a mechanic to fix the starter and diagnose the starting problem.  He insisted that it just needed a tune-up.  That didn't do it.  Then he insisted it was the battery.  It wasn't that. Previous to that I changed the fuel filter and the fuel pum relay. He says there is fuel pressure and everything checks out normal.  What could possibly be wrong??

ANSWER: Can you hear the engine cranking over as you try and start the engine ?.

We need to test the fuel pump and the ignition to the spark plugs.

If you are mechanicaly inclined or know of someone who is, You will need a DIGITAL MULTIMETER, Simple electrical schematics, Test procedures and picture locations of the components within the system that is causing you problems of which can't be done on this website which only allows one picture. I do not have a website so you will have to e-mail: onlineautohelp@msn.com in order to obtain the information.
