Cadillac Repair: What do these codes mean?, signal problem, climate control

Question
QUESTION:   I have a 91 sedan deville with a 4.9. The car was running like new until I presure washed the engine.Now it surges at idle but is fine on the road. I did a code check and this is what came up, E23,E52,70. Could you please tell me what they mean?  Thx.

ANSWER: E23 = Electronic Spark Timing (EST) signal problem.

E52 = Battery was disconnected.

70 is NOT a code. It is just a designation that you are at the end of the codes sequence.

Are you seeing these codes ONLY after you see a single E displays or are you also seeing these codes after a EE displays ?

QUESTION: The display reads,
  EE23,E52

ANSWER:  You probably got water in one of the distributor electrical connectors or in the distributor.

Bring the codes back up and when you see .7.0

Simultaneously push and hold the OFF and HI (^) buttons on the climate control panel until you see E.0.0 and release the buttons.

Turn ignition OFF for 15 seconds.

Recheck for codes and see if EE23 reappears.
