Cadillac Repair: Digital intrument pannel on 89 fleetwood, digital dashboard, intrument

Question
I've got an '89 fleetwood that has a digital dashboard that is not working.  I sold it at one time to some people who never finished paying for it and when I got it back, the dash was out.  I didn't find any fuses under the drivers side dash board that are out, but not even sure which one it would be since I don't have the owners manual anymorea and can't find a diagram online.  The Car was not running well when it came back but at this point I don't even know how much gas its got in it.  I've read a couple of other things about the radio and a connection to the electronic dash.  When I sold it it didn't have a radio in it because it stopped working and when I got it back, some wires were pulled out of the hole, so it sounds like they may have done what I've read a couple of other people have done, but since I don't know for sure I was wondering if there was some other way that I could test the instument panel to see for sure if it is fried.  I just want to make sure that there is not a fuse somewhere else that I need to check before going to the extreme of having to replace the whole pannel.

Thanks,
Bill

Answer
I can provide you with test procedures via pictures and directives.

Is there a radio hooked up IN the vehicle ?.

Most likely someone tried to put a radio in it and blew the dash assembly and or the BCM computer. Your most likely looking at $400.00 for the dash and $200.00 for the computer.

HOWEVER, tests MUST be performed FIRST.

If you are mechanicaly inclined or know of someone who is, You will need simple electrical schematics, Test procedures and picture locations of the components within the system that is causing you problems of which can't be done on this website which only allows one picture. I do not have a website so you will have to e-mail: onlineautohelp@msn.com in order to obtain the information.
