Cadillac Repair: 1989 Cadillac Eldorado, engine oil leak, main bearing cap

Question
Two problems:
1. Looks like an engine oil leak. It is the color of oil not a reddish transm.
color.
    Is replacing the 'rear seal' the primary solution? Any additive type solution?
2. The baffle system behind the glove compartment does not switch the air
    from hot to cold or cold to hot when set to do so.

Can you confirm a solution and an idea of cost.   Thanks

#1. Could be a rear main seal leak or oil pan leak right at the corners of the rear main bearing cap.

#2. Sounds like either a vacuum loss from the engine to the AC/Heater PROGRAMMER and or an internal PROGRAMMER fault which is causing the plastic arm not to move.
