key broke off in ignition how do I get it out or off to replace with new ignition?

Sorry about your key.  You will need to remove the lock from the truck to either try and get the piece out or simply replace the lock wit a new one (I recommend that).

Lastly, I would have a new lock cylinder in hand before you begin, to see what you are working on (hidden in the column) and accomplish finishing this job quickly.
