Cadillac Repair: 1993 cadillac deville, cadillac deville, switch problem

I get the code E40 and I was wondering how could i fix this problem. An also when I start my car it sounds like the car is idleing up and down I guess u car call it surging.

E40 is a power steering switch problem.

If you are mechanicaly inclined or know of someone who is, You will need simple electrical schematics, Test procedures and picture locations of the components within the system that is causing you problems of which can't be done on this website which only allows one picture.
