Cadillac Repair: A/C, vacuum line, floor vents

The a/c on my 1992 Sedan de Ville blows very cold except the problem is that the air blows out of the defrost and floor vents and rarely out of the a/c vents. Is this a serious problem?

This is usually caused by a broken vacuum line coming from the engine compartment thru the firewall into the AC/ Heater programmer.

You will need simple electrical schematics, Test procedures and picture locations of the components within the system that is causing you problems of which can't be done on this website which only allows one picture.
