Cadillac Repair: 1997 cad. Eldorado, transmission lock, intermittent fault

When i try to shift out of park after the car has been sitting i have a hard time. After i get it out of park it works perfectly all day, until i leave it sitting for 8 to 10 hrs.. Anyone have any answers ? No one else can seem to figure it out. Thanks  Greg

Sounds like an intermittent fault in either the PRNDL switch and or the transmission lock solenoid that unlocks the gear shift when you step on the brake pedal. You will need simple electrical schematics, Test procedures and picture locations of the components within the system that is causing you problems of which can't be done on this website which only allows one picture.
