Cadillac Repair: tps codes e22 e70, cadillac eldorado, control panel 1

Question
I have 1991 Cadillac Eldorado, been having problems with idle when warmed up, I've tuned up plugs, wires, cap, timing. I did not have any codes until I removed connector to TPS sensor, checking the voltage on the TPS connector which was correct, I then pluged the connector back and now have these codes E022 & E070. Tahnks in advance.

Answer
You need to CLEAR (erase) these codes from the computer via the climate control panel.

1. Turn ignition key ON. Do NOT start the engine.

2. Simultaneously push and hold the OFF and WARMER (^) buttons on your climate control panel for 3 seconds and release them.

3. The codes will appear and then the display will stop at ECM?

4. Push and release the HI button and you will see ECM DATA?

5. Keep pushing and releasing the LO button until you see ECM CLEAR CODES?

6. Push and release the HI button and you will see ECM CODES CLEAR.

7. Turn OFF ignition.


This will CLEAR the codes.
