Cadillac Repair: 1991 interior lights, 1991 cadillac seville, cadillac seville

I have a 1991 Cadillac Seville. 4.9 v8. My interior lights and head will work when I manually turn the dimmer switch to the full right position. But when I open the doors none of them will work. Today when I left for work I got in the car and all of them were working and when I turned on the key they went off and the headlights turned on automatically. What could possible be causing this problem? This is the first time I have seen them come on when I open the door. I have only had this car for two weeks. it has 75k miles.

The fault is most likely the illuminated entry timer.

You will need simple electrical schematics, Test procedures and picture locations of the components within the system that is causing you problems of which can't be done on this website which only allows one picture.
