how do i turn my automatic a/c back on in order to recharge the system?

Answer
Try pushing the DEFROST button. If this does NOT work you will need to jumper the A/C relay.

Do you have a CHECK ENGINE light illumination and or a LOW REFRIGERANT light illumination ?.

You will need Electrical schematics, Test procedures and picture locations of the components within the system that is causing you problems of which can't be done on this website which only allows one picture.
