Cadillac Repair: 1991 STS, oxygen sensor, sensor location

QUESTION: I have a 1991 STS (Seville) It runs rough when I am ideling. When I am stop at a light and start to accelerat the vehicle hesitates a little and finally goes. Every so often I will be idleing and the vehicle will stall.
I just had a tune up, plugs, wires changed. I think EGR needs changing. I ran the diagnostic code and look in the CHiltons book, says cranckshaft position sensor needs to be changed. Would the cranckshaft position sensor cause this, I thought vehicle would not start if this were faulty. I will send acual code later

QUESTION: The code is E041

Answer
E041 = The left oxygen sensor is running lean.

This can be caused by an exhaust leak at the exhaust manifold or broken pipe prior to the oxygen sensor location.

Could be a faulty oxygen sensor.

A faulty or dirty EGR valve or passages.
