Cadillac Repair: 88 deville 4.5L with E12, E52, and E53, e52, battery voltage

Question
Hi, my dad gave me his old Deville, telling me that it needed a fuel pump. It had an intermittent starting problem, plus would die on him in traffic.  After replacing the fuel pump, the same problems continued.  Some days it drives fine, but you never know when you'll come back to the car and it won't start.  Usually if you come back 20-30 minutes later, it starts like nothing ever happened.  I had a problem with it driving sluggishly the other day,and I barely made it home.  When I started it 45 mins later, it ran like a charm.  Oh yeah, when I pulled the codes yesterday, i got E12,E52,E53. I cleared them when i finished, and today it died in traffic but started right up.  Now the code is E12 again. Thanks for your help.

Answer
E12 = No distributor signal.

E52 = battery voltage was removed from the computer. This occurs when you disconnect the battery.

E53 = Distributor signal interrupt.

You will need Electrical schematics, Test procedures and picture locations of the components within the system that is causing you problems of which can't be done on this website which only allows one picture.  I do not have a website so you will have to e-mail: onlineautohelp@msn.com in order to obtain the information.
