Cadillac Repair: dash cluster/heater cluster, climate control, test procedures

QUESTION: i have just bought an 88 cadillac eldrado and the clusters dont work. i checked the fuses and the look good what should i do?? i also tried new bcm and new clusters and that did not do the trick? also my service cluster light comes on?

ANSWER: Using the climate control panel, retrieve the codes from the computer and let me know what they are.

QUESTION: the climate control dose not work either can i still retrive the code???

ANSWER: Try unplugging the climate control panel wires at the back side and see if the displays come back. If they don't plug it back in.

QUESTION: i did try that and it didnt work could it be the bcm?? cause i tested the harness and its gettin the proper 12 that it needs.

The displays run on 3 different voltages, 5 volts, 12 volts and 16 volts.
