Cadillac Repair: Cadillac deville 83 gas meter broken ?, gage wire, cadillac deville

I bought my self a cadillac 83' earlier this year, and several things have been broken in it. My gas meter always shows a gas light and is always full on the same time together always when I start it. Is there anyway you know what might be wrong with it ?

Most likely there is a faulty circuit in the fuel gage wire that goes to the fuel sending unit in the gas tank or a fault in the fuel sender in the gas tank.
