Cadillac Repair: Code A012 A/C, a/c wont work

Question

Hi Bill,

Could you tell me where the A/C programmer is located - I get code A012 and the compressor won't kick on yet all the sensor and compressor has been changed. Thanks.

Hi Steve,

      The programmer is usually behind the glovebox. Most times the glovebox needs to be removed as well as the panel below dash on that side. However if you haven't cleared the code since the compressor has been changed and freon added that might be all that is needed to get the compressor to turn on. Replaceing the programmer might not make any differance. Bill
