I'm not a mechanic but do know how to remove and put new parts on.  I have a 94 STS and the A/C blows hot air.  I took it to 2 shops only to have them tell me that the A/C isn't working.  The compressor isn't engaging, so I purchased a new compressor, but wanted to see if this actually is the problem or if it's something else.  

I plan to put the new compressor and clutch on this weekend, and take it to the shop to have them remove the old freon, and add new freon.  My current psi is OK, and the diagnostic said that there were not any leaks.  Anybody have an idea if it is the compressor or if it might be something else?

Either the compressor is NOISY internally you need to jumper the AC relay to engage the compressor and see if it is making any internal noises. You will need picture locations of the AC relay and how to jumper it to engage the compressor of which can't be done on this website which only allows one picture.  I do not have a website so you will have to e-mail: onlineautohelp@msn.com in order to obtain the information.
