Cadillac Repair: Standard/Metric display, electrical schematics, export cars

My '86 Sedan Deville has the base speedometer (not optional electronic) so it has the analog swaying needle speedo....therefore the car DOES NOT have a dedicated english/metric button to alter the readouts, only the digital sopeedo cars had a button for that...my car is a US car due to the large font MPH on the Speedo(export cars had KMH in bold) How do I change the current readings back to standard English from Metric as there is NOT a dedicated button for that on my dash?

I have only run into this a couple of times and what you need to do will require some pictures and removal of a BODY CONTROL MODULE wire.

You will need Electrical schematics and picture locations of the components within the system that is causing you problems of which can't be done on this website which only allows one picture.  I do not have a website so you will have to e-mail: onlineautohelp@msn.com in order to obtain the information.

This is a very simple procedure.
