Cadillac Repair: Battery Drain, standard radio system, cadillac el dorado

QUESTION: With all systems off, battery drain is 2.8 amps. I remove the comfort fuse in the trunk and it drops to .8 amps. At the same time I hear a loud pop from the rear speakers.

ANSWER: Sounds like you have a faulty amplifier system depending upon which radio system you have. Do you have the standard radio system or a BOSE system ?.

You most likely have a fault in the amplifier.
