Cadillac Repair: blower motor resistor, blower motor resistor, cadillac seville

Question
QUESTION: Where is the blower motor resister located on a 2003 Cadillac Seville?

ANSWER: There is NONE. There is a BLOWER MOTOR POWER MODULE located right next to the blower motor. It is a black colored component.

Your problem can be either the:

Blower motor OR the MODULE. You will need to test them.

You will need, If necessary, Electrical schematics and picture locations of the components within the system that is causing you problems of which can't be done on this website which only allows one picture.  I do not have a website so you will have to e-mail: onlineautohelp@msn.com in order to obtain the information.

QUESTION: I removed the blower motor and tested it (worked fine) My only other option would be to replace the module. This is what controls the fan asnd speed?..........Thanks Randy

Answer
There may have been a change in the 2003 system as I retired in 2000.

If your vehicle does NOT utilize the module anymore than the blower is controlled by the ACM (AC-Heater programmer). You will have to ask to see which component your system utilizes to drive the blower motor.
