Cadillac Repair: 2003 Cadillac CTS starting problem, 2003 cadillac cts, cadillac cts

When the ignition is turned on, the car continues to crank "without" holding the key.   It never starts - just keeps cranking.   What could this be an indication of ? Thanks for the help in advance.  WE have had no major issues with this car and it has 70k miles on it.

I retired in 2000. If the systems are still the same, I would say that you have a fault of the NEUTRAL STARTER SAFETY SWITCH located on top of the transmission just below the brake booster which needs to be replaced.
