QuestionAir-conditioning problems on the 1998 Cadillac Deville.
Frequently after driving a distant and shoping the air conditioner blower in side the car comes on normally and then stops approx. 30 seconds after starting the car.
It remains off from 1 to 3 minutes and then comes back on automatically.
Occasionally, the blower will stop a second time for brief period of time before coming back on.
I tried turning the air-conditioner off and on, nothing!.
Tried changing fan speed, nothing!
It seems some times by stopping the car and turning the ignition off
and waiting a moment and then restarting the car fixes the problem
The compressor is running, because with a forward motion of the car, cool rammed air can be felt inside from the air conditioner duct.
There has been another a long-time problem, not necessarily related to this issue
that the only way to get heat is to turn the temperature level to maximum
but who needs heat in Florida. I'm not trying to fix this problem,
but I'm not sure if it might relate to the main problem
AnswerSo what your saying is that you have an intermittent blower operation for the air coming out of the interior car vents.
Your problem is most likely an intermittent fault in the blower motor and or the A/C-Heater programmer.
From your note on heat problems I would say that the problem is in the A/C-Heater programmer. You will need, If necessary, Electrical schematics and picture locations of the components within the system that is causing you problems of which can't be done on this website which only allows one picture.
