Where is the starter located on a 2001 Mazda Millenia S?

Not my specialty area but, I had the misfortune of replacing one of those.  Driver side under the charge air cooler.  Seven steps, remove the air charger (as an assembly), battery and tray, shift cable and bracket, starter rear bracket, then you'll have a fair shot at the starter.  I would suggest before removing it to manually check the contacts.  If I recall correctly the housing bolts though visible were difficult to access.  They are very reliable starter motors though things happen especially if they get water.
