Cadillac Repair: 96eldorado wont start every time, cadillac eldorado, starter relay

I have a 96 cadillac eldorado with the northstar v-8.Sometimes it wont start.If I hold the key in the start position and move the shifter back and forth between park and neutral it will start.Both the battery and starter relay are good.Everything else seems to work fine.Any suggestions on what this might be and possible solutions ? I need this car to get to work.So every day it does'nt run costs me a days wages.Please help me.Thanks Erick in CA.

What you have is a fault in the NEUTRAL STARTER SAFETY SWITCH which is mounted on the transmission.
