QUESTION: Car starts runs well until it has warmed up, then it feels like it's starved for fuel. When driving and it starts to act up, if you let off the gas and then step down gently it will pickup again. Sometimes it runs perfect, the next it will stall everytime you give it gas. The Fuel Filter and Fuel pump have been replaced.

QUESTION: yes, it's been on but the problem started well after the check engine light came, maybe a year.

ANSWER: You need to retrieve the check engine light code FIRST.

1. Turn ignition switch ON, Do NOT start the engine.

2. Simultaneously push and hold the OFF and WARMER buttons on your climate control panel for 3 seconds and release them.

3. On the display you will see LETTERS & NUMBERS being displayed along with the word CURRENT or HISTORY for EACH code that displays.

4. The display will STOP at PCM?

5. Tell me EXACTLY in the EXACT order when you see the LETTERS & NUMBERS being displayed along with the word CURRENT or HISTORY for EACH code that displays.

6. turn ignition OFF.

OK, Now CLEAR all the codes from the computer and see which ones come back as CURRENT or HISTORY.

1. Re-enter diagnostics and after the codes appear and it stops at ECM?

2. Push and release the HI (fan ^) button and release it and you will see ECM DATA?

3.Continue to push and release the LO (fan v) button until you see ECM CLEAR CODES?

4. Push and release the HI button and you willl see ECM CODES CLEAR. Wait 3 seconds and turn off the ignition.
