Cadillac Repair: Bad ground, fuel pump, e mail

I'm sorry to keep bothering you about my fuel pump problem on my 96 deville with northstar. But I know what the problem is finally. Its a bad ground on my fuel pump and I was just wondering if you know where to locate it. Probably would have to drop the tank right? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Spent over $650 for a new fuel pump,Had to drop tank twice,and all it was is a bad ground...I knew something was weird when the mechanic told me that the old fuel pump was still good. It he was a good mechanic he would of told me that. I got robbed! I had a friend look at it and he told me within 20 minutes what it was. He does electrical work on automobiles.

Whoever put in the first pump should have been smart enough to test for a ground circuit and a battery feed circuit.
